Dang Xuan Hoa

Born in 1959 in Nam Định, Vietnam

Graduated from the Hanoi College of Fine Arts in 1983

– Currently a member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association

– His works are included in the collections of the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum and the National Gallery Singapore

– As a young artist, he painted extensively across various genres of still life, which gradually became a central and enduring theme in his artistic practice.

– For Đặng Xuân Hòa, still life offers a field of experimentation. Elements and motifs from his still-life paintings—such as ceramic vessels, flowers, oil lamps, fruit bowls, and cats—later appear in his portraits, enriching and elevating these works. Through his most accomplished portraits, he strives to express a distinctly personal sensibility and a unique visual language rooted in Vietnamese perception.
